M-Chat is an extremely powerful Multi-Chat system originally designed to meet the needs of corporations that do not wish to use public chat and public e-mail systems. Sensitive corporate information is not protected form monitoring and logging while using public chat systems. Savage Software developed a method to provide the convenience and ease of use provided by public chat system, but eliminates the danger of monitoring and logging.

The M-Chat system ensures privacy because it does not use a "Public" server to echo messages to the users. The server may be located by the corporation on the private premise. The only requirement for the server location is a private IP address. The M-Chat server software system and the M-Chat client software define a private chat system. The only M-Chat clients that may connect to the server must be properly designated as part of the private system. Even other M-Chat clients cannot connect to the private server.

Messages sent by the M-Chat client software can be sent encrypted using the Savage Encryption System.

M-Chat is a solution to protect extremely sensitive chat data that can not be entrusted to "Public" chat services.
